The integrated sports watch ref. 222 was launched in 1977 to mark the 222nd anniversary of the venerable brand’s founding and is the result of the work of Jörg Hysek (born in 1953). All the famous names of the time were associated to this model: Gay Frères for the bracelet and Stern for the dial. Experts agree that approximately 500 examples of the 222 were produced during its eight-year production life. And even if this number does not take into account the ladies versions, nor the mid-size models nor the ‘jumbos’, this makes the watch an exceptionally rare collectable.
